L293D motor control shield motor drive expansion board

Overview:

The L293D Motor Shield is equipped with dual L293D motor drivers and a 74HC595 shift register. This allows the shield to drive 2 Servo Motors or 2 Stepper Motors or 4 full bridge DC Motors and up to 8 half-bridge drivers. The L293D is compatible with the Arduino Uno R3 and Arduino Mega 2560.

Features:

• 2 interface for 5V Servo connected to the Arduino’s high-resolution dedicated timer resulting in no jitter.
• Can drive 4 DC motors or 2 stepper motors or 2 Servo at a time
• Up to 4 bi-directional DC motors with individual 8-bit speed selection.
• Up to 2 stepper motors (unipolar or bipolar) with single coil, double coil or interleaved stepping.
• Pull down resistors keep motors disabled during power-up.
• 2 external terminal power interface, for separate logic/motor supplies.
• Terminal block connectors allow easy hook up wires (10-22AWG) and power
• Compatible with Arduino Uno R3, Arduino Mega
