Our Policies
1. Dead on Arrival (DOA) Products

If an item is dead on arrival, you must contact us within 3 working days of receiving the product.

Prototype DIY will test all DOA products for internal damage caused by incorrect installation or use.

If confirmed as a DOA product:

A replacement will be sent to you free of charge.

If the item is out of stock, you will receive a full refund for the product.

Refunds for DOA items are only issued if a replacement cannot be provided.
2. Product Returns & Refunds
You may return a product within 5 days for a full refund, provided the following conditions are met:

The item(s) must be in original, unopened packaging.

Return shipping costs are non-refundable (except in the case of DOA items).

For items with free shipping, the refund will exclude the original shipping cost incurred to send the order.

Electrical parts, components, and modules connected to a power source are non-returnable.

A 10% restocking fee applies to all returned items.

You must obtain a Return Authorization before sending any product back.

Refunds will be made using the same payment method as the original transaction.
Important:
Electrical components and modules are highly sensitive to improper installation, static discharge, or excessive heat. Even if they appear to function, hidden damage may reduce their lifespan or cause intermittent faults. For this reason, all electrical parts, components, and modules are strictly non-refundable.
3. Wrongly Supplied Items

If you receive an incorrect product, please contact us within 3 working days of receipt.

The correct product will be sent to you at no additional cost, and shipping charges will be covered by Prototype DIY.
