8×8 LED-MATRIX – RED 30X30MM Matrix is an excellent way to display data or create cool light patterns. Matrices like these are ‘multiplexed’ – so to control 64 LEDs you typically would only need 16 pins on your microcontroller or a driver chip, which would require even less.

The pins are 2.54mm / 0.100” breadboard pitch, and can be connected as shown in the attached diagram. Each matrix has small notches to aid in aligning multiple matrices to create larger displays.
