DESCRIPTION

These are general purpose space saving 3mm LED Green (10Pack) with diffused lens and good brightness.

• Space saving 3mm diameter
• Diffused lens for wide viewing angle

These are general purpose 3mm LEDs with diffused lens and good brightness that work well for general indicator use.

Being smaller than the normal 5mm LED, they take up less room when space is at a premium.

The shorter of the two leads and flat side of the housing denotes the cathode.

Note that there is a flat surface on both sides of the housing, so you cannot use that as the cathode indication.

For size comparison, a 3mm, 5mm and 10mm LED are shown to the right.

A current limiting series resistor is needed to protect the LED and/or the device being used to drive it.

A larger resistor of around 220- 470 ohm can be used to reduce current at a lower brightness.
